Spheres Presented in Putuo District Domestic and Abroad Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The competition provided a good platform for Putuo to connect with Israel's high-quality scientific and technological innovation resources.

December 6, 2019, the Second Putuo District Domestic and Abroad Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held in the China-Israel (Shanghai) Innovation Park.

This competition provided a good platform for Putuo to connect with Israel's high-quality scientific and technological innovation resources and promote the effective connection between technological innovation needs and scientific and technological achievements. At the event site, two guests from Israel, Omri Hephner, Managing Partner of Spheres, shared Israel’s innovative ideas and innovative models to the guests.

Spheres shared the insights for Israel as a start-up nation and Chinese capital's activities in Israel. Israel is ranked 1st in the world for innovative capacity by the IMD Global Competitiveness Yearbook and 3rd for innovation globally out of 148 economies. According to statistics, in 2018, the total global financing of Israel reached $6 billion, of which Chinese investment for $1 billion, occupying 17%. While in the investment size, Chinese capital reached for more than 30 percent.

"The key point is to understand the real needs of Chinese market and connect relevant technologies.", said Mr. Hephner. Spheres' main goal is to help connect good technologies with good partners. Mr. Hephner also shared successful stories mainly in life science sector.
